The show that has changed the landscape of reality TV in South Africa is back. Multichoice announced today that the return of the Real Housewives of Johannesburg is set to return in April 2022.

Your favourite housewives are back for another season. Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela announced that the 3rd season of Real Housewives of Johannesburg will have a bumper 14 episodes. Glamour is not a question, money is not an issue and drama, well, that’s the name of the game as The Real Housewives of Johannesburg will come back under new production. Sonia Mbele couldn’t acquire the services for the 3rd season however, it is said that the new production is set to be bigger and better.

Season 3 promises the usual amount of splendour and entertainment, except with more sparkle, over the top parties, expensive shoes and bigger handbags. The likes of Lebo Mokoena, Mrs Pops, Lejoy, Brinnette and Christall are all set to return.

The international hit show that has been making headlines is coming to South Africa for its 3rd season and the prize money is more appetizing than ever. As previously announced at the beginning of October, Multichoice has decided to renew Big Brother Mzansi due to the growing demand for something new on their screens. As stated on his tweet the price money for this season is estimated to be a staggering R2 million. This is the amount of money that will be given away to one lucky winner that will remain after everyone has been voted out of the big brother house. It has also been revealed that they show will be broadcasted across the African continent to cater for the growing audience in parts of Nigeria.

What is the show all about

The setting of the show is very simple and straightforward. Participants stay in a house that is surrounded by 360 cameras that monitor their daily routines. Each and every week there will be someone that is going to be voted out of the house due to a wide range of personal reasons. This will happen up until the house is left with only one person that will walk away with the grand prize. The applications have reached their deadline and we are awaiting information about the outcome very soon.

What people have been worried about is that the show much not be filled with celebrities. They want new faces on their screens in order to give other people a shot at not only becoming millionaires but also achieving fame. As of yet the channel is busy shortlisting people that have made the cut and we just can’t wait to see who they are. The entertainment industry is getting more fiercer each and every day and more production companies are jumping into the bandwagon, what a time to be alive.

The story is action packed and resonates with what we have experienced as the people of South Africa. What to expect from season 2

As mentioned by Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela, the show will take center stage starting from next year. It will be led by the same production company which is Tshedza pictures. Here’s some of the giveaways:

— There will be a new president under the name of Mulaudzi.The official date on when season 2 will premier has been withheld by the production. But you can definitely expect it on your screens next year.

OPINION

According to my own experience watching the show and how social media has reacted during the first season, it’s one of the greatest shows to hit our screens. We are currently faced with similar issues when it comes to how state funds and mismanaged and how corruption is causing so much pain in people’s lives. I just hope that the story line will not remain stagnant and they will offer something new that will capture the hearts of the people.

Many people know him from the group TKZee but Kabelo Mabalane is a true example of how people should overcome all the challenges, that they are facing in their lives where he has been fighting to be a better person which he is this day because of the lessons that he has learned on his life.

Mabalane is also a former drug addict where he was involved in drugs during his time when he was in the music industry, but now he has conquered all the odds where he has become a motivational speaker to many young people who are seeking advice on their lives and their relationships.

No excuse is a campaign that he has started with his wife in partnership with Carling Black Label, to help people who have problems in their relationship and come with other plans to help others who are going through that challenge where they play a huge role in the community.

It’s clear that couples are going through a lot where they are facing many challenges that can lead them to violence, and some are getting worse where they are killing each other and their children thinking that it is only the solution that can solve the problem that they are facing.

With a lot of South Africans being unemployed the violence in the households has increased a lot, we’re people are fighting each other because of money that is not coming into the house because they have lost their jobs due to the current Covid19 pandemic that has caused problems.

This initiative will help this couple to deal with these challenges so that they can find a solution to solve this violence that has affected their relationships, and the experience that Kabelo brings will help many people to stop this issue because it can lead them to jail.

The next victim of public embarrassment was our favourite Jessica Nkosi. One thing about these female celebrities they will embarass you and when they do, they will make sure that they do it publicly for people to see. What is shocking also is the fact that they do it to other female celebrities not to males, are they beefing or what?
