“The Ancestors Will Shock You!” Boity’s ancestors are hard at work

2020 has been a terrible year for the Entertainment Industry as the Covid19 pandemic hindered income streams for many people. However, one Zalebs who continues to expand her income streams year in and year out is television personality and rapper Boity.

The Bakae hitmaker recently took to her Twitter account to attribute her success to her ancestors. Boiumelo revealed that her success in her short music career was unforeseen. She just wanted to record one song, but little did she know last year that she’d be one of the most booked artists in the country.

“Lol! It’s me thinking I just wanted to record 1 song nyana not knowing there were platinum plaques waiting for me in the near future…. Lol! The ancestors will shock you!” She tweeted.The star recently revealed her ancestral name to mixed reactions from her fans.
Her name, Gogo Momakhwezi, which originates from Zulu left some fans confused as she is Tswana. Boity accepted her ancestral calling back in 2016. However, she is not a full-time practising Sangoma as she’s mostly occupied by her career in the entertainment industry.

Gogo Nomakhwezi also hinted that she’ll be venturing into making snuff. The main reason Boity was inspired to get into the business is that there are no Black-owned companies manufacturing the Tobacco-based product.Boity is bar far one of the most successful celebrities in SA alongside the likes of Bonang Mathena and Minnie Dlamini. Not only does she boast a successful career in television but she also has a successful music career and is considered one of Mzansi’s biggest influencers. More recently she launched her own range of hair product and fragrances. The girl is leaving no territory unexplored. Each year she keeps adding more wins to her portfolio.
