RIP: A sad day for South Africa as we mourn the death of Veteran Actor

South Africans wake to another bad news as we are informed about the passing of popular and veteran actor Patrick Ndlovu. Patrick has served in the South African entertainment industry for so many years.


 

 

 

According to reports, actor Patrick Ndlovu has died at the age of 85. Ndlovu was known for his important roles he played as the principal in Yizo Yizo. He also featured ad Sizwe Moloi on SABC 1’s drama Zone 14.

As we learn about Patrick’s untimely death, our thoughts, and prayers go out to his family, friends and loved ones. His death is a great loss to the South African viewers who were entertained by his presence on our screens.

South Africans have taken it to social media, sending their messages of honor and comfort. “What an honor to have worked with this man, a true professional, gentle, warm and generous, a legend in his own right and an inspiration to many. RIP Patrick Ndlovu.” Vuyolwethu Ngcukana said.

“Consummate veteran actor Patrick Ndlovu dies. We are deeply saddened by the passing of the legendary actor, Patrick Ndlovu, whose acting career spanned more than four decades.” Sowetan Live updated.

Some people even reminded us of his outstanding role in Shaka Zulu. “The first time I came across Patrick Ndlovu was in William C. Faure’s Shaka Zulu series. He was King Jama and Senzangakona’s adviser, Mudli. He owned the part of Mudli and delivered it exceptionally. RIP Patrick Ndlovu.”

Death, be not proud. This is becoming a sad week for South Africa. May the spirit of Patrick Ndlovu rest in peace.
