Five things to know about Lukhanyo Am: Age

As the Springboks celebrated their one-month anniversary since winning the 2023 Rugby World Cup title in Paris, France last month, the day also marked Lukhanyo Am’s birthday as he turned 30 on Tuesday, 28 November. Here are five things to know about the rugby champion.

He was born on 28 November, 1993 in King William’s Town, a small township in the Eastern Cape. He went to Hoerskool De Vos Malan High School and plays the centre position on the rugby field.

    Lukhanyo Am was brought up by his mother, Zukiswa who had envisioned him to take on the community’s passion for soccer, however, Am is said to have had other plans for himself, Rugby 365 reported. He reportedly started off as a lock before branching out to play the centre position for the U13s at the Margate-based Gladiators Rugby Academy. Thereafter, he is said to have gotten picked up by the Border Bulldogs.

    According to the publication, Lukhanyo Am got signed by the Sharks in 2013 and later made his mark with the team after helping the Durban team reach the Super Rugby quarter-finals in 2017, 2018 and 2019. And, by 2017, he was reportedly awarded with the Springbok colours despite missing part of the middle finger on his left hand.

Desoite basking in joy, a few hours before sharing the picture on Twitter Serena got vulnerable on the social media platform about her mental health. The tennis player opened up about having a rough day.

“I am not ok today. And that’s ok to not be ok. No one is ok every single day. If you are not ok today, I’m with you”, she shared in a tweet.

Williams continued: “There’s always tomorrow”. Love you”.In response to the tennis player many Twitter user have shared how much they related to what Serena might be going through. Other have also shown some concern, reassuring the tennis player that she will be okay.

“I hope you feel better lady. You’re absolutely right. It’s ok not to be okay sometimes, and to acknowledge it. But here’s the thing. Put on some feel-good music and do the running man throughout the house. It just might lift your spirit”, one Twitter user commented.

Another tweep shared how much they related to Serana’s tweet.

‘Ayanda Ncwane lite’: Palesa Madisakwane turns full blown preacher

A few weeks ago, reports about South African media personality Somizi Mhlongo’s “baby momma” Palesa Madisakwane having “resigned” from being a sangoma went viral. The former Generations actress shared a video of herself cutting up her idlozi fabric while a gospel song plays in the background — she also said a prayer. And now she has started sharing videos of herself preaching.


 

 

This has led to many reactions from social media users who have started comparing her to former reality TV star and media personality Ayanda Ncwane who is famous for her preaching videos.South African actress Palesa Madisakwane shocked many earlier this year with a new video of herself turning her back on her ancestral calling.

Heading online, Palesa, who shares a daughter with famous media personality Somizi Mhlongo, shared a clip of herself destroying her idlozi cloth.And now she has started making videos of herself preaching the word of God.

In a clip that has gone viral, she can be seen passionately reading bible verses while “spreading the gospel”. The clip has led to many comparing her to Ayanda Ncwane, the wife of late gospel star Sifiso Ncwane.
