Thobile and GC are back

Khaya Dladla and Nokuthula Mabika this week returned to the popular soapie to reprise their roles, and they have the whole of Mzansi eating out of the palms of their hands.

Speaking about their return, Uzalo producer Mmamitse Thibedi said they’d always wanted to bring the duo back.

“We were just waiting for the right moment. And with the exit of Thandeka, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to do so and to give her a perfect exit.

“We also brought them back to do a remembrance of where Uzalo started and where it’s going.”

She said having them back on set had been amazing.

“Honestly, we missed them so much on set, as well as the life they bring to the story,” she said.Although they’re not back permanently, we’re considering the possibility of their characters living throughout the season.”

Mzansi had a lot to say about the duo’s return.

Mpendulo Dlamini said: “I’m watching Uzalo again because GC and Thobile are back.”

Jade also commented: “GC and Thobile are back, guyzini. . . meaning nam’ I’m back to watching Uzalo more regularly.”

Tshepi Makgosi said: “I’m only watching because GC and Thobile are back #Uzalo.”

Popular radio host stabbed to death ( Kwazi “Captain” Magubane )

Former radio presenter, Kwazi “Captain” Magubane was stabbed and killed in a car hijacking on Monday, 5 April.
Kwazi’s death was announced by his former employer, the community radio station, Imbokodo FM on their Facebook page.

The 36-year-old leaves behind a five-month-old kid and his fiancée, Thabile Zulu.

Thabile, who was too distraught to talk, confirmed Kwazi’s death before she passed the phone to his best friend, Nkosi Gumede.

Nkosi told Daily Sun Kwazi was travelling with his two friends from KwaMashu to Sydenham.

“From what we understand, they were followed by an unknown vehicle from KwaMashu. When they got to Sydenham, his friends got out of the vehicle to relieve themselves.

“He was in the car talking on the phone. The suspects attacked him and demanded the keys. But the keys were unfortunately not with him,” he said.

Nkosi said the suspects stabbed Kwazi in the neck and chest when they didn’t find the keys.

“The suspects ended up fleeing without the car,” said Nkosi.

“We are hoping for a quick arrest. There are some positive indications that something is being done by the police.”

Another friend, Sthembiso Mbhele, described Kwazi as humble.

“He left Imbokodo FM last year to start a transportation business. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” said Sthembiso.

Kwazi’s memorial service was held at eThekwini Community Church on Thursday, 8 April and his funeral will held on Saturday, 10 April.

KZN police spokeswoman, Captain Nqobile Gwala said a case of murder was being investigated by Sydenham SAPS.

“A 36-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by unknown suspects on Howell Road on Monday. He was taken to hospital where he died on arrival. The matter is still under investigation,” said Gwala.

Dladla Mshunqisi gets his logo tattooed on his arm

The star took to his social media to share a video of himself tattooing his logo on his arm.

Dladla was surrounded by his team as the tattoo gets done.

He mentioned that the reason he decided to do a tattoo of his logo on his arm is because “it is still being fought on all sides”

Cassper Nyovest has taken to his Twitter to reply a troll who feels he is not relevant.

However, this is not the first time the star is facing such negative comments but this time around, he will not let it slide.

A social media user decided to step on Cassper’s toe after claiming he is not relevant.

The tweep stated that he will know he isn’t a coward if he can write 2 or 3 songs about South African politics.

He wrote: “Casper you not relevant now Chief… don’t be coward unless write 2 or 3 songs about South African politics or you know jack… Kant who’s our Kendrick, our Eminem, our J cole or our Kanye… as we sick of these young thugs or Ross mimics”

Cassper however responded by ordering the man to go sleep as he believes he is clearly stressed.

Cassper tweeted: “Good sleep my guy. You’re clearly stressed. We all are, corona ke masepa.”
