Dloz’Lami is a reality TV show which plays on Moja Love TV. It features a spiritually talented individual by the name of Thembi Nyathi. With that being said people were left in disbelief after seeing the recent episode of Dlozlam. Thembi spoke about the danger of borrowing people money.

Kabelo wrote to the show because his right as a father have been violated by his father-in-law who had custody of the children one his wife passed.
However the story became more convoluted as it progressed.

Dingaan sat with Kabelo and his mother to understand their side. They claimed that his wife was sick and had died shortly after giving birth to their third and last child when they got to the father-in-law’s kraal he explained that his reason for this was apparently that his daughter lived a hard life with Kabelo.

 

 

 

 

 

It was a constant back and forth between them that left more questions than answers. I mean at one point there were even utterances of a gambling addiction. All of it was insignificant to me. The only thing that mattered was the children.

Dingaan loses his cool
There was a sudden change in the in-laws after the agreed to allow Kabelo permission to have visitation rights (The court had already allowed this). They switched up and pretended like the cameras suddenly offended them after threatening to call the police. It was awful to watch.

Dingaan understandably was furious about this. He confronted them about their selfishness. Pointing out that they had raised their own children and needed to give Kabelo a chance too. In his closing speech he mentioned social grants being a problem. I agree that it may have been the motivation.

Personal Thoughts
I can’t understand why Dingaan would proceed to be very upset about this turn of events. It isn’t right to deny a father who has done right by them, his kids. It was heartbreaking to watch the children not recognize their father. All for what? Social grants?

Their grandmother even admitted that she was too tired and old to be looking after them. I was very shocked at her hot-then-cold vibe. The children have a living parent. To drag him through court cases like he did something wrong is unjust. To deny the children a relationship with their father? Inhumane. I can only hope Kabelo finds a way to be reunited with his children soon.
