Cylia Kunutu (MaKunutu) on the SABC 1 drama series Skeem Saam, Shoki Mmola is a well-known South African actor. In addition to her acting career, she is a Sangoma healer (traditional healer). A few years ago, she disclosed her vocation, saying that she had completed training as a qualified traditional healer and was now able to provide medical excuses to patients who sought her advice.
During that time, she was also troubled by fears that her calling would hurt her professional life and reputation. She claimed she was concerned that nobody would take her seriously due to the prevalence of the practice among celebrities.
The actress has clearly conquered her fears, as she is now using her social media accounts to proclaim her belief in her healing abilities. Evidence of this can be seen in an Instagram post in which she shows off her traditional healing garb.
