JUST IN : Cancer warrior Zoleka Mandela has died

We are saddened by the passing of Zoleka Mandela, the granddaughter of Nelson Mandela & Winnie Madikizela Mandela, She has fought and brought hope to many of us.

According to the Mandela family Zoleka passed away on Monday evening, 25 September.

ZOLEKA MANDELA HAS DIED
In a statement, the Mandela family said Zoleka was admitted at a hospital on 18 September for ongoing treatment for metastatic cancer to the hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain and spinal cord.

“Recent scans revealed significant disease progression including fibrosis in the lungs as well as several embroil.

“Zoleka passed away on the evening of Monday, September 25th surrounded by friends and family. Our sincerest gratitude to the medical team that took care of her,” the family said.

On 17 September Mandela who often updated her fans about her battle with cancer took to Instagram to share the latest health update.

“I had a CT Scan administered a few weeks back, which have shown that I have blood clots as well as Fibrosis in my lung. This explains the chest pains I had been feeling.

“My Medical Oncologist has recommended blood thinners and Oral Chemo. On the upside, I’m incredibly grateful that I am still treatable! I’m off to bed … Good night … Good morning, beloved hearts! Love, the Oros Lady (I feel like my face just gets more rotund and puffy by the day!) Peace. Passion. Positivity,” she captioned a video she had shared.

In 2022, many hearts broke after South African author Zoleka Mandela revealed that she was diagnosed with bone cancer. The mother of six shared a lengthy post about the diagnosis and left her followers saddened by discussing her children who will be left motherless when she passes on.

The mother of six had kept her fans and followers updated on her journey and would come online to share health updates and inspirational posts.
