The actress who became famous for her role of Queen Moroka; in the now defunct Generations; Sophie Lichaba; is having a time of her life in entertainment.

Sophie (47); who has ditched her marriage surname Lichaba; is now mixing acting; producing and radio presenting. Within a month; Sophie was given the ropes to produce the telenovela; Family Secrets; she is also a radio presenter on Radio Bop station.

She told a local newspaper that; she got the radio presenting role; after she had been interviewed in another show as a guest.

“After the discussion; management asked me what would make me happy on a Saturday programme. I told them that due to the outbreak of Covid-19; people need a programme that will encourage them and also warn them about many things so that they will remain safe.” Said Sophie.

She continued to say that; her programme is amazing because it focuses on topics and music that is loved by people.

“It will be my second week presenting it. We were making arrangements; I will be presenting it at the Kitchen Vibe; in Rivonia. It will be a lot of fun. We invited a lot of experts who will be talking about eating the right food; saving money and living a healthy lifestyle.” She said.

“These things go together; living a quality lifestyle; needs money. If you don’t live well you cannot go to work and also when you don’t work; you’re unable to make money.” Said Sophie.

She said; she had never dreamt of being a radio presenter but she wanted to be seen as a fashion model. “The radio was going to hide me; I wanted to be seen and famous. Though radio is still new to me; I would end up as a champion.” She said.

Sophie presents a programme on Saturday between 12p.m. and 3p.m. called; #TheRadioBopLifestyleShow; on the station that has been on air for 42 years since its inception; while also famous for exposing the talent of top presenters like; the late Bob Mabena, Tim Modise and Tich Mataz.About producing; she said; it was high time she did something different.

“I have more than 25 years experience in the acting field; so producing came at the right time. We help each other because everything goes well when people put their heads together. I’m very happy to wear different hats.” Concluded Sophie; who was struggling with diabetes; last year; but now she has fully recovered.
