Earlier, some videos that were going around on social media gave the impression that Mampintsha’s funeral was going to be marred by a war of words between those from his mother’s side in KwaMashu and the family of Babes Wodumo. This gave the impression that the funeral was going to be a public spectacle.

It would appear that the unnecessary drama took place outside of the mortuary, where family members from both sides were exchanging words with one another. Those who believed that this activity was not required voiced their disapproval of this behavior.

Mampintsha’s friend, Dj Tira, who was one of the speakers at the memorial service for Mandla Maphumulo held at the eThekwini Community Church, stated that they will continue to support babes wodumo throughout the process. He indicated that there will be a significant emphasis placed on her professional life.

before his death, which occurred a few days after he was sent to the hospital for treatment. It was a very tragic turn of events, but there is nothing else that can be done. Although many individuals, including his fellow artists, have paid tribute to him, only a small number of those people have actually visited his family to console them in their loss.

The plans for the funeral are already underway, and according to recent sources in the media, the final burial rite will take place on Friday. As an additional expression of sympathy, the national government has assured the family of Mandla Maphumulo Mampintsha that they will cover one-half of the costs associated with his funeral.

When his son called Sponge stepped in front of his obituary and started crying, it was one of the most devastating moments that occurred this afternoon, and it caused all of the people who were present at the site to shed tears.

It was a moving scene that caused everyone in the room to suddenly break down and cry their eyes out in grief. Although it is possible that he is unaware of the specifics of what is occurring, as he becomes older, he will without a doubt comprehend everything. We beseech God to provide eternal rest to his spirit and to bring the family another member who can assist them in their time of need.

Before departing for the burial, his loved ones will gather at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli ICC in Durban for a funeral procession. This will take place before they leave.

Maphumulo, who was better known to those who followed him as Shimora, passed away unexpectedly early on Saturday morning in a hospital. He had suffered a mild stroke approximately two weeks ago.

Fans of Big Nuz will get the opportunity to say their final goodbyes to him on Thursday morning during a memorial ceremony that will be held at the eThekwini Community Church.

According to a family representative named Zanele, his musician wife Bongekile Simelane, better known as Babes Wodumo, had a difficult time accepting her husband’s passing. Simelane is better known by her stage name.

The late musician was admitted to the hospital after suffering a stroke one week after performing a concert with his band, according to Zanele’s statement at the time.

In July of 2021, Maphumulo and Babes Wodumo welcomed their first child into the world.

He also made an appearance on the couple’s widely watched reality series, which goes by the name Uthando Lodumo and is currently in its second season and airs on Showmax.

Following the news of Shimora Maphumulo’s passing on Saturday, followers expressed their astonishment and condolences on social media by using the hashtag #RIPShimora.

Maphumlo made his first appearance in public in the year 2002 with the band Big Nuz. He played in the band alongside Danger and R Mashesha, who has since passed away, as well as Gallo Records.

Big Nuz was instrumental in bringing forth a new era of gqom music with the release of hit songs such as umlilo, tsege tsege, and ngeke.

On the other hand, it seemed as though their families had put the past in the past in the most recent episode of the couple’s reality show, which is called Uthando Lodumo. Despite this, reports indicate that the tension is ramping up once more after Mampintsha’s passing.

After hearing that Mampintsha was recovering from a stroke, the family of Babes reportedly made Mampintsha’s family feel like they had been put in the background.

Zama Gumede excluded from Mampintsha’s funeral arrangements
According to the urban legend, Mampintsha’s mother, Zama Gumede, passed out after learning that she would not be included in the funeral arrangements for her son.

“According to reports, Mampintsha’s mother passed out after she discovered that the funeral arrangements had been finalized even though she had not been informed. Zama, Mampintsha’s mother, suffered a sudden fall and was taken to the KwaMashu Community Health Center by ambulance. It is said that she suddenly collapsed after seeing on TV that the arrangements for her son’s funeral had been completed, and that this caused her heart to start hurting. She inquired as to the reason why she was not included.

Zandile Maphumulo, who serves as the family spokesperson for the Mampintsha family, provided an update to the media during a joint family press briefing on how Babes Wodumo is coping with the loss of Mampintsha following the singer’s passing.

“In regard to Babes, as I have mentioned in the past, when you lose a loved one, it is not an easy thing to go through. She has not been doing well for the past two days, but our family is one that believes in God, and we pray for everything. The prayers of both families, the Simelane’s and the Maphumulo’s, have helped and sustained her.

“They were very close to one another; in addition to being lovers and friends, they were also husband and wife.”

Mampintsha’s funeral arrangements
In the meantime, Mampintsha’s family has announced that a celebration of his life will take place in Durban Central on Thursday, and that his funeral will take place on Friday. Both events are scheduled to take place after his passing. The family promised that more specific information would be provided at the appropriate time.

“The funeral will be on Friday, and we are still in the process of locating a suitable venue with the assistance of the government. As is well known, this person was a KwaZulu-Natal institution, so the government has agreed to lend a helping hand to the family.

We are going to hold the memorial service on Thursday at the ECC church, which is Pastor Vusi Dube’s church. The service will begin at 11 in the morning. The public is also invited to attend the memorial service because we will be celebrating Mampintsha’s life, said Babes Wodumo’s father. “Everyone is welcome to come to that memorial service,” said Babes Wodumo’s father.
