Kgomotso Ditshwene set to join cast of lsono

Actress Kgomotso Ditshwene will make her return to the small screen when she joins the cast of BET Africa’s hit daily drama,”lsono”.
Known for starring in “Generations” and “Zone 14”, Ditshwene will play Sophie, who previously helped raise Zakwe and was a close friend to his mother, Thandi. Sophie and Zakwe are reunited when she brings her baby to House Of Grace for adoption.Mary is very keen to take Sophie’s baby in, eyeing an investment coming in.Speaking on how her involvement in “Isono” came about, Ditshwene said she heard about the role and sent in an audition tape.

“I just wanted to act, it had been over five years without me being in front of the screen plus I like controversial roles.“Sophie has an alter ego called Sofire.“She has just had it hard in life and has been dealt bad cards and she is making the most of what she has been given and I can relate to her never give up spirit.”While the actress loves playing Sophie, she doesn’t like the choices the character makes. “Her choices are not the greatest and she is manipulative, even to those she loves, but I loved the challenge and I had to love and accept her and become her without judgment.”
She said she hoped viewers learnt from Sophie that life was more than just what met the eye. “Sophie is a sinful prostitute, but deep inside, she is a hard-working woman who will do anything to provide for her family. No one is without sin and who’s to judge?”.

When Pearl saw the tweet she was angered and then proceeded to talk back at the man involving his mother in the fight. Her clapback did not sit well with many people who felt as though she could have done better than to stoop as slow as the trolls.

She basically revealed that men who have no money love making such immature comments about beautiful women who are well off. She took it further and said that he wasnt raised well by his mother.

Pearl Thusi prior to that went on a mini rant about the hate she gets whenever she lands gigs. People always go for her skin colour and that always hurts her. The actress said that she is on a flight to an unnamed destination and it is for work purposes. As a woman who is taking her health and safety seriously, revealed that due to the pandemic, she had not been travelling very often.

“Leaving south African boarders for the first time this year (2nd time in 12 months) for a really exciting project.” She then spoke about the hate she continuously receives from people because of her skin colour.

“Please comfort my haters… They’re about to call me names and say only my skin colour gets me work etc. Nothing new really… I just don’t like to see people hurting because I’m rising. It can’t be nice.”

During the boycott Podcast And Chill With Mac G saga, he called out major celebrities who chose to speak up against him but remained mum when DJ Fresh and Euphonik were once again accused of rape.Mac G reckons this is a continuous trend because celebs often stay away from engaging in such because top dogs like Fresh could blacklist them in the industry. Thando Thabethe has decided to declare that she is not one of the those celebs after being bashed for choosing her battles.

I believe strongly in the rights, to respect and fair treatment, for all human beings, and I wanted to give voice to this important issue.”
