Lady Du dragged for saying staff must be disciplined

South African X users have not stopped buzzing over how things turned out for the woman who was caught stealing nappies in a local Jet stores. A video went viral of security guards exposing the woman — who has now been identified as Lulama — with the stolen nappies hidden inside her clothing. Shortly after it went viral, various prominent South Africans started donating all sorts of supplies.


 

 

Lady Du — who always weighed in on the situation — has been called out for suggesting the staff at the store be punished for exposing Lulama.In an unusual twist of events this week, a woman, known only as Lulama, has been gifted food, nappies and other supplies for her children after she was caught stealing Huggies nappies at a Jet store.

Videos of the incident went viral and sparked outrage among those who felt bad for Lulama after learning that she had three children who were struggling at home.

One of the people who has offered to help Lulama is SA musician Lady Du.“Hey guys I found lulama and will be going to her place tomorrow she has 3 kids, currently traumatised by what happened. We need to help more people I’ll be sending her details tomorrow after I meet with her. Someone needs to discipline the staff at @jet for what they did to her,” she wrote.Lady Du is also being dragged for saying that the staff should be disciplined after they were only doing their jobs.

“You are condoning a terrible entitlement behavior and I pray you supply her with the basics month to month for she doesn’t steal again,” one person said while another said:

“We are saying as a society let’s allow people to do crime at peace, people are suffering already. What kind of Nonsense is this Traumatized? Nandipha must be given free bail gee, plus it’s her Birthday today.”

SABC caught up in yet another payment dispute as 7de Laan suspends production

Just a day after the SABC found itself trending on social media for financial issues related to the Rugby World Cup, the state entity is in the news yet again.

Weekend newspapers claimed that the SABC had failed to meet it’s financial obligations in regards to broadcasting the Rugby World Cup.


 

 

The tournament gets underway in France on Friday evening and the defending champions South Africa will be up against Scotland on Sunday.

But the SABC will not be screening these matches due to financial disputes with the rights holders SuperSport.

The powers that be at SABC are now faced with yet another situation after it was revealed that it had suspended production due to money owed to it.

The suspension comes after the SABC 2 announced that 7de Laan tv series would come to an end in December this year. Since that announcement, the relationship between the soapie’s production company and the broadcaster seems to stand on shaky ground.

The production company released a statement testifying this.

In other news, for the last seven years, Mtunzini has been the location of the only art festival north of the Tugela river.
