Zamani Mbatha reveals why exit Isitha: The Enemy

Zamani Mbatha’s voice sounds nothing like the powerful one we’ve grown to love and recognize from eTV’s Isitha: The Enemy. He tells DRUM that the reason for his grumpy voice is because he has just woken up.

Actor Zamani Mbatha has successfully established himself in the entertainment industry over the years. He gained additional followers when he joined The Black Door as the sex worker Khaya, also known as Gandaganda.

At the final episode of the first season, the actor tells TRUELOVE that he is leaving Isitha.“I have other plans in life and I don’t believe in staying in one place. I’m deciding to take a break to focus on my growth,” he says. “As an artist, I believe in not doing something for too long. I’ve been doing telenovelas for two years now and I think it’s time to move on. I have something coming up, which is exciting and I hope it will be as exciting for my fans as well.”

For Zamani, being in the spotlight has not been without its problems. He became the focus of a lot of social media rumors in 2023 after his ex-girlfriend accused him of being involved in an affair scandal. He claims it’s a personal situation, thus he doesn’t want to get into further detail about it.

“I don’t like talking about that because it’s way too personal. I try as best as I can to live my life in a way that pleases me because it’s not easy being a public figure,” Zamani says.
