Star musician Zakes Bantwini, singer-songwriter Nomcebo Zikode and producer Wouter Kellerman won the Best Global Music Performance award earlier this year during the annual Grammy Awards.

After recently receiving their awards, the trio has been celebrating their big wins with their families. Against the backdrop of their celebrations, Zakes Bantwini left social media in tears after he posted a heartfelt post.

He celebrated his big win with his late mother. Zakes Bantwini took his award to the cemetery and posed for photos at his mother’s tombstone.

The now-viral picture has since gained thousands of comments and reactions. South Africans quickly flooded into his comments section with comforting comments.

Some praised him for honouring his mother and celebrating his wins with her.
