TV: Uzalo Has Been Renewed For Another Season

According to ratings, Uzalo is the most watched show in Mzansi followed by Generations The Legacy. It has kept it’s viewers entertained and informed through storylines that people can relate to. Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela has revealed that Uzalo has been renewed for its 9th season that will premier early 2023. In the month of October it peaked at 5.8 million viewers, this is a clear indication that the writers are cracking it down for people. Pastor Gwala and Nosipho Maphumulo will unfortunately not be returning to the show because their contracts have not been renewed. On the other hand, Wiseman Ncube will be making a come back soon.

As much as some people may be over the show, there’s millions that are still glued to their screens daily. Free to air channels have been a huge relief for those that can’t afford to pay for premium services such as Netflix or Showmax. The SABC 1 is planning to release its own streaming service before the month end – be on the lookout for it.
