Mshololo Finally Lets The Cat Out Of The Bag: She Suggests Madlala Could Be Charged

After having kicked the media houses out on Wednesday after lunch, Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela has retracted his decision and allowed the media back in the court room on Thursday morning after a length meeting with the counsels, the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumed and Advocate Zandile Mshololo continued with cross examining the state witness Tumelo Madlala who was at the house in Vosloorus where the former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper and captain was shot dead, he has been testifying since the resumption of the proceedings.

While she was continuing with the questioning, Mshololo suggested that there is a possibility that Meyiwa’s life long friend Madlala could find himself charge if the the pending decision is finalized, she told Madlala that he should stop protecting himself when answering the questions he is asked.

According to Mshololo, there is a decision is still pending and it is yet to be made or finalized, she said she knows he will testify while trying to protect himself from getting prosecuted, but for now the decision is still pending.

“There is a decision that is pending, it hasn’t been finalized. That decision is that you must be charged, here, you are testifying you will want to protect yourself from the decision that is still hanging to prosecute you,” Mshololo said.

Advocate Mshololo who is representing accused number 5 requested for an adjournment after a lengthy debate between him and the state when she was about to read a letter written by the National Prosecuting Authority, Judge Maumela was against the reading of the letter saying that the court can not expect the witness who is coming all the way from KwaZulu-Natal to answer something which is in a letter which he did not write, a letter which may have been written in Johannesburg, he believes that the question from that letter should not be asked.
