Her breakthrough came when she was chosen to play Karabo Moroka in the 1994 film Drama Generation. She appeared alongside the late Menzi Ngubane, Sello Maake ka Nqube, and Sophie Ndaba in the play. Even while she pursued a career in acting, she still worked as a model. In 2010, after 16 years as Karabo Moroka, Connie decided to leave the generations and start her own production company with her late husband, Shona Ferguson. Their studio has produced more than a dozen successful films and television series. At the passing of their older sister Shona last year, Connie has stepped up to continue the family business.
