The wedding was attended by the who’s who of Mzansi’s showbiz including the likes of Bonang Matheba and Pearl Thusi. The couple broke the record of being SA’s first gay celebrity couple to have a wedding special on Showmax.
Their wedding special gave us a front-row seat into preparations for their big day, wedding jitters, and traditional rituals that involved their coming together. Their wedding was a dream and they had numerous wardrobe changes which set social media ablaze.
As they celebrate their first wedding anniversary today, Somizi took to Instagram pen a sweet post celebrating it. In a post he asked his followers to convince Mohale to go live with him today, to share tips to anyone who is about to get hitched.
“Happy one year wedding anniversary to us……please help me convince my husband that we go on live this evening to share what the first year of marriage feels like and us like…….I feel like theres a lot if things that we are not told about by newly weds that cud be helpful to anyone who is about to get married……but whatever it is that we have experienced got us to where we are today…….I love u MOTAUNG MHLONGO,” he wrote.The couple recently left many breathing through the wound when they took over Kruger National Park. The pair went on a game drive, they were captured drinking champagne and watching rhinos while looking all sorts of fabulous.
The couple were recently plagued by rumors that things were not so rosy anymore in their relationship. This follows after Mohale was accused of being too friendly with a man at his age at his birthday party in Soweto. The incident reportedly ruffled the feathers of Somizi.
Apart from this incident their fans have been accusing Mohale of not being affectionate with Somizi, with many accusing him of getting married to the star because of his wealth..
The couple have since been going strong, and they are just proving that nothing will separate them now. The pair met at Somizi’s book signing. On his reality show Somizi explained that he knew from that day that they were going to get married. The couple later got engaged in Paris and this year they hosted their white wedding early this year
