Smoke and Mirrors Actress Lusanda Mbane (Martha)’s Age And Academic Qualifications

Lusanda Mbane gained fame for her important role in the popular South African soap opera, Scandal! Her portrayal of Naomi Malotana on Generations also made her well-known nationwide. Lusanda Mbane was born on May 16, 1979, in Butterworth town, Eastern Cape, South Africa. She grew up in the Eastern Cape in a humble family. She is now 44 years old.

From a young age, her passion for the entertainment industry was sparked by watching movies with her father. While pursuing acting, Lusanda Mbane also continued her education.

She studied marketing in college, completing her secondary education at Clarendon Girls’ High School. After high school, she went on to study Marketing at Technikon Witwatersrand. Later, she earned a marketing degree (B.Com) from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Lusanda Mbane started her acting career in 2009, playing the role of a lawyer named Macheke on a South African soap opera. The following year, her breakthrough came when she portrayed the character Naomi on the well-known South African soap opera, Generations. Although her character’s storyline ended in 2011, she gained a large following.

Lusanda Mbane considers this role to be a turning point in her career, opening up many opportunities for her. Since then, she has appeared in various South African TV series as a guest star, recurring character, or main character, including Soul City, Abo Mzala, Tempy Pushas, Isibaya, Dream World, Sokhulu & Partners, Z’bondiwe, Scandal, and is currently on Somoke and Mirrors.

She has also appeared in commercials for major South African companies such as Google, Vodacom, Edgars, KFC, and others. In 2013, she was featured as the face and voice of South African Airways’ in-flight safety video.

In her personal life, Lusanda Mbane is happily married to Luzuko Mbane for over fifteen years. They have two children, a daughter named Liqhawe Mbane and a son named Lihlome Mbane. They currently live in Johannesburg, South Africa.
