“She has a case” check why people think Dr Nandipha will win her case, after this happened

The kidnapping case involving disgraced physician Nandipha Magudumana was scheduled to be heard this morning, Thursday, at the High Court in Bloemfontein. but were put off until June.

She did this after submitting an urgent plea last week asking for a declaration that her detention and subsequent deportation from Tanzania to South Africa were illegal.

She claimed that South African authorities had kidnapped her.

The department of Home Affairs, which was at the center of this procedure, was left out of the list of respondents.

Minister Aaron Motsoaledi had this to say on the matter.

“I think there is something sinister about that. They [the legal team of Magudumana] don’t quote home affairs at that. They knew home affairs was there and now when they go to court they leave home affairs behind and go for the police, NPA, and Correctional facility in Bloemfontein except home affairs which is the department that brought people here. It is on those grounds that we are challenging this court case,” said Motsoaledi.

In April, Magudumana was taken into custody in Arusha, Tanzania, along with her ex-boyfriend and convicted killer Thabo Bester.
