The story of the twins Jennifer and June, who cut off contact with the outside world by refusing to speak to anyone for more than 29 years, is maybe one of the strangest events to have ever occurred on our planet. Most parents’ ultimate goal is to have two sets of twins, but occasionally it comes with a cost. The story of Jennifer and June serves as a good illustration of how challenging raising twins can occasionally be.

As the twins grew, their parents started to notice that something odd was happening to the two kids. Their actions had a certain unnatural quality to them. The resemblance in their behavior as well as their likeness in appearance caused the parents some concern.

Mr. Aubrey and Mrs. Gloria Gibbons, the children’s parents, began to notice something odd about their children. These two kids appear to have been chatting through silence. They were then given the moniker “the Silent Twins” because of this.

The fact that these two girls were completely capable of speaking but instead chose not to do so concerned and raised questions in the minds of many people. Despite remaining silent, the two girls possessed a unique talent, which could be seen in the plays they would write as well as the made-up tales they produced and even sold.

However, the two of them appeared to have been negatively impacted by the silence, and before they knew it, they had turned into partners in crime and began consuming drugs and even stealing. The two’s life began to improve after they were apprehended and handed a 12-year prison sentence. Years later, June would acknowledge that her 12 years in a mental hospital turned out to be the worst of her life. When one of the twins passed away, the other one was relieved of the burden and started to talk. June was forced to start making new connections with other people after her older twin Jennifer passed away from a heart attack shortly after being released from prison. Jennifer claimed that she made the decision to pass away so that the younger sister may lead a typical, everyday life like other people.

Jennifer has chosen to live like any other normal person, even today, as a result of the death of her older sister. The tale was even made into a film, and the illustrious “Silent Twins” will live on for decades to come.
