Lungiswa “Lulu” Haarmans, a former host on Umhlobo Wenene FM, passed away at the age of 41.

According to reports, the former host of Khanya Gqiyazana, which aired on the radio station in the Eastern Cape from 9 to 12 p.m., passed away on Friday morning after being taken to the hospital on Thursday.


 

While working for the station, Haarmans won numerous radio awards. On Monday, she wrote on social media that people should always be on the lookout for warning signs because they could pass away suddenly at any time.

Haarmans has reportedly been suffering an unidentified medical problem, according to a source and a former coworker who is known to Sunday World. According to the source, her illness got worse after she was fired from the radio station.

After she allegedly missed one of the station’s events, Haarmans was sacked from the station in 2019. The tragic death of Haarmans has not yet been confirmed by the family.
