This is what Carl Niehaus tweeted this morning after learning of a death in his family: My deepest condolences to Gloria Bosman’s family and friends on her loss. My mood was lifted by her song many times over.

 

 

 

 

All of my deepest condolences to her loved ones left behind. South Africa has suffered enormously as a result of this tragedy. Her lovely soul, may it finally find peace.

She was in her fifties.

The revelation was confirmed by the South African Music Rights Organisation in a statement released to the press. Bosman was elected to SAMRO’s Board of Directors during the organization’s 2022 AGM. In February, the company made the appointment public via social media.
