The tragic passing of Zoleka Mandela’s death was announced on Monday. The activist and writer had an ongoing battle with cancer that spread to various parts of her body. ZOLEKA MANDELA CAMPAIGNED FOR ROAD SAFETY
Zoleka Mandela tragically lost her daughter Zenani at the age of 13 in 2010 after a car accident. She later went on to become a worldwide campaigner for road safety for children, pioneering many projects such as the “Safe School Project”. Along with the Global Commission on Road Safety, Zoleka helped to raise awareness for road safety and helped prevent accidents across the country.

AN INSPIRATIONAL BREAST CANCER ACTIVIST
Zoleka was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. She shared her experiences and brave journey throughout her battle to create awareness for the illness. Zoleka regularly documented her journey on her Instagram account, giving followers a look into her experience, while advocating for the awareness and treatment of cancer.

ZOLEKA’S BOOK GAVE PEOPLE HOPE

THE ZOLEKA MANDELA FOUNDATION
