Simphiwe Dana Says Somizi Was Out Of Line For Swearing At Journos their contact details

Post main imageThe first journalist to feel the wrath of the presenter was a City Press journalist by the name of Julia Madibogo who wanted his comments about the rumours of his supposed divorce with husband Mohale Motaung.

The article written by the journo claims that the two are in divorce talks due to Mohale’s cheating ways. Apparently the man he cheated with is a married friend of Somizi’s.

“The guy is married to a woman and has kids. That is why Somizi did not come out about this because he wanted to be sensitive to protect the guy’s young children. The guy is also financially powerful, so he doesn’t want to drag his name and reputation,”

When first approached, Somgaga warned that he will ‘sue the living hell’ out of the publication, and he exposed the woman’s contact numbers.

“Please make my year and write the story as I will sue the living hell out of you and your publication for this crap you are asking me….get your facts right or go join Sunday World”.

The second journo was a Sunday World journalist who approached him for comment regarding news that a season 2 of his cooking show, Dinner At Somizi’s, is halted.

The reason for the future of the cooking show being so fuzzy is because Hastings Moeng came out publicly to declare that the show’s plot was his idea. He accused Somgaga, Legend Manqele, Barleader TV and Multichoice of stealing his show and has now taken legal action against them.
The journo claimed to have been informed by a reliable source that the show was been put on hold and they requested his comments. An angered Somizi responded to the journo in a very vile way when he said, “Deadline yo m***u kan**ko, g**o lika yihlo, u fu**en abortion survivor,” he said. In translation, he insulted the journalist’s parents and implied that he or she survived abortion.

Adding her two cents on the matter, Simphiwe Dana said Somizi was not wrong for the first incident which involved the City Press journalist. “I don’t think Somizi is wrong. There are boundaries. Respect them. Us being public figures doesn’t create grounds for uba wena usiqhele (for y’all to treat us like this). Otherwise write your story ungasifaki”, she tweeted.
For the second clap back Simphiwe felt as though he was totally out of line for referring to the journo as an “abortion survivor” and cussing at his parents.

“I didn’t see this one. And it’s completely out of line. It would be good to know what led to it”, she replied.

Busiswa has taken to social media to call out City of Joburg (COJ) for not focusing on their real duties.

The star decided to share her views on the removal of the illegal business adverts.

This is coming after the municipality took to Twitter with photos of their initiative to remove illegal street advertisements.

Reacting to this, Busiswa slammed the COJ for putting attention on removing “illegal business adverts” from street poles and traffic lights instead of helping people who are struggling to make ends meet as a result of Covid-19.

In a statement posted on the COJ website about the Buya Mthetho initiative (to remove all illegal signage), executive mayor at the time Herman Mashaba let citizens know they would need to be certified by the municipality before signs are erected.

Busiswa on the other hand felt there are other things they need to concentrate instead of that. The singer also stated that the city was not dealing with the bigger problem at hand, namely helping those who have been devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s a pandemic and a lockdown! People need work! Yho!,” she wrote.

Busiswa also stated: “Laws are not made as a creation by God. They are made by people and can be changed by people to reflect a just society for the times we’re living in and protect and uplift the most vulnerable of society. The poor, the unemployed, the skilled who have no work etc”
