AKA expresses disappointment towards the killing of a protester in Wits

Earlier today, it was reported that one person has been shot dead in Braamfontein allegedly by a police.

It is believed that the incident occurred in the early hours of today when police were trying to disperse Wit students who were protesting about student funding.

Taking to Twitter, AKA expressed how disappointed he is with the way police handles issues now.

The rapper stated that police fires at any students they see even if yo are wearing a read beret or a yellow T-shirt.

In her apology, Vicky said that she was aggrieved by the turn of events and would like to retract her tweet. “I would like to unreservedly and unequivocally apologise to Cindy Thando for my tweet published on the 5th of March 2021, I was aggrieved by the turn of events then went to publish without applying myself. Thus, I retract my tweet.”Jonas also stressed the importance of supporting one another as black women. “As young black women, we should be celebrating each other and working together to support one another. I realize that my tweet did the opposite of that, which is why I’ve personally apologized to Cindy herself and would like to apologize to you all, my followers, for my disappointing actions.”Responding to the apology, Cindy Mahlangu shared the letter of demand her lawyers sent Vicky, requesting that she retracts the tweet and issues an apology. She also shared a screenshot of the apology Vicky sent in her DM’s. It reads as follows:

“Hey Cindy, I would like to sincerely apologise to you for publicly slandering your name with allegations I knew nothing about. As a God-fearing, young, black woman I would like to say to you I made a mistake based on information used to hurt me. I released those frustrations out on you, an incorrect party, and I felt I had to come as humbly as I know how to now correct my wrong, and I apologise. With the hopes to put this incident in the past for us both, I would like to also issue a public apology to you.”

Former SA Idols contestant Nosipho Silinda, has decided to cut her teeth in acting as she has bagged a role in The Queen Mzansi.

Post main imageAccording to Daily Sun, Silinda will portray the character of Cici and she said it has always been her dream to spread her wings in the industry and do more than just music.

“I was really excited when I was told I got the role because it’s a great opportunity for me to learn and grow in the entertainment industry. It’s always been the plan for me to do more than one thing,’ she said.Speaking about her character she said, “Cici will stop at nothing to get what she wants. I believe that is one thing we have in common. At the same time, parts of her are completely different from who I am, which was interesting to play.”

Silinda said she enjoyed bringing her character to life and she cannot wait for viewers to see her. The musician told the publication that she prepared for this role as she had zero acting experience.

“I went over the script a million times and also practiced in front of the mirror. I also watched the show just to get the feel of what exactly I needed to do.”

The talented musician who hails from Ladysmith, rose to stardom when she entered Mzansi’s singing competition Idols SA and it redeemed her music careerin 2020, she said, she would still like to work with her and said she learns a lot from her.

“Of course why not, I would really like to work with her because she is amazing, she paved the way for me and she has taught me different things about the industry including how to stay relevant, about royalties, how the game is run and when it comes to my voice she has coached me a lot,” says Nosipho.

Skeem Saam actress Lerato Marabe is off the market as she recently ties the knot in a traditional wedding.

Lerato plays Pretty Seakamela on the soapie – younger sister to Clement Maosa’s Zamokuhle Seakamela and Innocent Sadiki’s Sthoko.

The actress shared photos on Instagram, dressed in her traditional bridal wear.

She received support from family, especially her brother, as she flaunts snap taken with him and captioned it with “Brother.

Lerato is a hustler and she’s been trying to secure the bag by all means. Aside being popularly known to be an actress, she’s also a House Music DJ, and she performs at gigs.

Vusi Kunene is once again leaving Generations.

It was reported that the star returned after five years and now he is leaving the popular soapie.

Vusi returned to the show in late 2015 after a stint on Isibaya and Isidingo.

According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, the actor has resigned from Generations: The Legacy. Sources have informed Mphela that the actor will be starring in the show that is set to replace Rhythm City on e.tv.

Fans were convinced Vusi was going to leave the show last year when he took a short role on Mzansi Magic’s hit drama series Gomora. Generations rubbished the rumour.

There is no additional information regarding his role available as yet.
