Somizi Has Done It Again Touching the Lives of 20 Grade-12 Learners

Popular TV and radio personality, Somizi Mhlongo otherwise known as Somigaga is not only talented, he is also kind-hearted. A philantrophist who does not wait to be asked befre he helps. Somizi melted the hearts of many South Africans on Wednesday with kind gestures towards twenty Grade 12 students.

It all started when a school teacher, Lonaleblomo Lapalamathomo made an online request for scientific calculators for twenty of her Grade 12 learners.

“I’m looking for anyone who can donate scientific calculators for the grade 12 kids that I teach. Kindly retweet. Someone you know may know someone who knows someone in high places. Only 20 calculators,” tweeted Lonaleblomo.

Lucky for her, Somizi was surfing online and saw her tweet, and a conversation ensued. Somizi asked “how much is each calculator?”

 

“Range from 250-300. Depends on store. Just checked on Takealot, it’s R260, Lonaleblomo replied Somizi.

The rest history. Somizi took up the responsibility to purchase all the 20 calculators as he said to Lonaleblomo;

Somizi is the host of the Dinner at the Somizis. The show success has inspired Somizi to write and publish a cookbook titled Dinner At Somizi’s- I Am Not A Chef.

The beef between former Ukhozi FM Presenter Ngizwe Mchunu and gospel artist Thinah Zungu might not end anytime soon. Ngizwe Mchunu who was beefing with Amabhinca has now shifted to beefing with gospel artists

These two have been teasing each other on social media. Ngizwe asked to have tea with Thinah just like how Thinah had shared tea with Khuzani.

‘Thinah, I am ready to have some tea with you in your 4 room double storey house but first sweep up all the dirt which would be blown to your face by the wind’ stated Ngizwe
