She was responding to a direct message (DM) on Instagram from a woman who advised her to amputate her foot in order to benefit from wearing heels and having more freedom. Sbahle read this DM while getting her tattoo, and it didn’t set well with her. She claimed that although she had to delete her Instagram account at the time, she continued to think about it and felt emotionally affected.

 

 

 

“I saw a DM from a girl telling me to amputate my foot so I may run, wear heels, and be flexible like her. I was like, “ugh whatever,” so I decided to just hop off Instagram, not pay attention, and keep working on my tattoo after reading her post. But the moment kept disappearing as I continued to think about it. After that, I start crying. The studio was large, and there were other people there. I sobbed aloud.

They were all enquiring as to whether my tattoo hurt. They questioned why I was crying, but I was speechless. I was devastated that someone could simply advise me to amputate my foot. Why would I wish to amputate my foot, for instance? She continues by saying that her mother requested the doctor not amputate her foot because it was practically hanging out following the accident. She claimed that Sbahle wouldn’t be happy and most likely wouldn’t be alive today if she woke up without her foot.
