Recently the mom of Kairo and Asanti surprised her husband with a lavish birthday party attended by many of his closest friends and family members, but what really got Bongani in tears was the gift she bought him – a vintage AC Cobra.

Taking to social media Bongani shared some clips of the celebrations.

One video shows him exiting his home with a group of friends while Zinhle invites him into their home’s yard. After seeing his latest gift Bongani rushed towards his wife, grabbed her, and spun her into the air.

Mpho Chauke, the mother of hospitalised rapper Shebeshxt, has opened up about her son’s condition following a horrific car crash. The musician, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, was involved in an accident on the R37 road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo on Saturday, 8 June.Doctors at Netcare Pholoso Hospital in Limpopo are working to determine the full extent of Shebeshxt’s injuries. According to his mother, Shebeshxt suffered a broken leg, an abdominal fracture, and head injuries when his Volkswagen Polo collided with a truck and overturned.

“The doctors are still trying to figure out the extent of the injuries but he went to the theatre this morning. So we should know after that,” Mpho Chauke told Sunday World.

The Accident

The accident occurred while Shebeshxt was traveling from Polokwane to Lebowakgomo with his nine-year-old daughter, Onthatile Chuene, and his long-time partner, Kholofelo Chuene. Tragically, Onthatile Chuene died in the crash. The family was en route to drop off Kholofelo and Onthatile before Shebeshxt headed to perform at an ANC Siyanqoba Rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo scheduled for Sunday, 9 June.

On social media, videos have surfaced showing the aftermath of the accident. One video shows the covered body of Shebeshxt’s daughter next to the damaged vehicle, while another depicts the rapper lying on the ground, bandaged and moaning in agony as paramedics treat his injuries.

The Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM) has issued a statement expressing condolences to Shebeshxt and his family. “We cannot imagine the pain and grief they must be experiencing, but we want them to know that they are not alone,” the statement reads.

The artistic community stands in solidarity with Shebeshxt, offering comfort and support during this difficult time. LAM representatives have visited Shebeshxt’s family and the hospital, urging other artists and fans to send messages of comfort.

“Let us rally around them and offer a shoulder to lean on in their time of need. May Shebe’s daughter rest in peace, and may the family find strength in the love and support that surround them,” the statement concluded.

SCHOOL EXTENDS ITS CONDOLENCES TO SHEBESHXT ON PASSING OF HIS DAUGHTER
The school expressed that it has been deeply affected following its learner’s passing, further extending its heartfelt condolences to the Chuene and Chauke families

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Onthatile Chuene, a cherished Grade 3 learner at our school. Onthatile passed away on 8 June 2024, and our entire Northern Academy family is deeply affected by this loss.

“During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Onthatile’s family, friends, and all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this unimaginable loss,” read the statement.

On various social media platforms, videos of a body of a child went viral. In one clip, the body can be seen lying covered next to Shebeshxt’s damaged vehicle.

Another video shows Shebeshxt lying on the ground while paramedics treat his injuries near a stretcher. In the video, the Dilo Tse Massive rapper’s head and right foot are bandaged as he moans in agony and pleads for water.

EFF LEADER JULIUS MALEMA PAYS FOR THE MUSICIAN’S HOSPITAL FEES
According to a source who spoke to Sunday World, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) president, Julius Malema, was contacted to assist the artist — real name Lehlogonolo Chauke – who was reportedly left unattended at a public hospital.

“Shebeshxt does not have medical aid, so they took him to a public hospital, where he was not assisted for some time,” the source told the publication.

“Fearing that he could lose his life, Julius Malema was then called, and he demanded that Shebe be taken to Netcare Pholoso Hospital, a private healthcare facility in Polokwane, to get medical help.”

The source added that Malema will continue to cover Shebeshxt’s bills. The controversial musician was one of the artists entertaining the crowd at the EFF manifesto in Soweto in March this year.
