Generations star Millicent Mashile and Skeem Saam actress Innocent Sadiki are grieving their grandmother.

MILLICENT MASHILE: ‘I’M HAPPY SHE’S NO LONGER IN PAIN’
The actors and content content cretors Millicent Mashile and Innocent Sadiki are heartbroken after losing their grandmother who raised them after their mother passed away.


 

 

Mashile tells Zimoja that she remebers the day she was in labour with baby Kganya: “This was after a complicated delivery with Kganya. I was in so much pain. I just wanted to talk to my Gogo, however, I didn’t want her to know I’m in pain.”

She also tells the publication that she’s going to miss having a mom and a grandma in her and can’t believe she can’t call her now as she would have made the pain a little better.

“The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord. We were blessed to have been given one of the best.”

“God knew she would be exactly what we needed. My heart is filled with gratitude to God for your life, your heart, your love Gogo.”

The Generations star adds that she’s happy her grandmother is no longer in pain. It’s been a tough couple of months, for their queen.

‘SKEEM SAAM’ ACTRESS INNOCENT SADIKI: ‘THE WORST NIGHTMARE’
Skeem Saam actress Innocent Sadiki took to her Instagram account to express her grief in pictures and videos to bid farewell to her grandmother.

“Farewell my Queen, my best friend, my love, my Gigi, my everything, my heart, my strength. The day I dreaded all my life. The worst nightmare.”

“That day has come and for the first time, I felt my heart jumping out of my chest. I can’t believe you going to finally meet your daughter and my mother again. Your precious baby girl. Have fun girls.”

Sadiki previously revealed on their YouTube channel that she struggled to remember her past as a result of the emotional trauma her parents’ deaths caused.

“It’s the memory loss for me as well. I didn’t realise that until I was married, until I had children. I know my mom from a picture; I don’t know her as a person. I have zero memories of my mom.”

Sadiki also revealed in a 2017 interview with TshisaLIVE that their grandmother raised them, and their sister kept information about their father to herself to protect them.

The actress added that she and her sister were met by “coldness” when they tried to reach out to their father and never saw him again until he was on his death bed after an “attempted murder”.

South Africa and the rest of the world have been left gobsmacked by American actress Jada Pinkett-Smith’s latest bombshell drops. In a viral video, Jada reveals that she and her husband Will Smith have been separated for the last seven years now. The actress has called late rapper Tupac Amaru Shakur her “soulmate” and has now opened up about the star’s secret battle with alopecia.

Girls Trip star Jada Pinkett Smith has dropped bombshell after bombshell as she promotes her new book, Worthy.

The first bombshell was that she and her husband of 25 years, Will Smith, have been separated for the last seven years.

The 52-year-old also revealed that comedian Chris Rock had asked her on a date after hearing rumours that she and Will were headed for divorce.

In her book, the actress admits that late rapper Tupac Shakur is her soulmate.

Speaking during an interview on Rolling Out, the actress was asked whether she regretted not taking things further with Tupac with who she had a famous friendship.

Her response was that even though Tupac is her soulmate, they didn’t have romantic chemistry.

Over the years, Jada has opened up about struggling with alopecia — a condition which causes hair loss.

In fact, her husband Will Smith landed himself in hot water after slapping comedian Chris Rock for making an insensitive comment about her bald head which is a result of her alopecia.

And now Jada has claimed that Tupac also struggled with the condition.

“I don’t think Pac ever talked about his alopecia, but he also looked really good with a bald head. But that was during a time and during an era that you wouldn’t.. he just wouldn’t talk about it,” she said about the Hit Em Up rapper.

ANC calls SA to support the Springboks, recalls Mandela’s vision

The African National Congress has called for South Africans to rally behind the Springboks on their journey in the Rugby World Cup 2023 tournament as seen in a post on X (the social media platform formally known as Twitter) on Sunday, 15 October.

 
‘SYMBOLIC MOMENT’: THE ANC ON THE SPRINGBOKS IN THE RUGBY WORLD CUP
The Springboks played against France in Paris on Sunday, 15 October with millions of South Africans watching in pubs, at their homes, on the stands, and through their television screens all across Mzansi. It was a victorious moment for the South African national rugby team as they made it through to the semi-finals, winning the match 29:28.

The governing party urged South Africans to stand behind the Springboks on their journey in the Rugby World Cup 2023 tournament via a post on X.

“The African National Congress (ANC) reiterates its support for the national rugby team, the Springboks. As was the case in 1995, this tournament stands as a symbolic moment in South African history. The Bokke remains as a symbol of unity, diversity, and excellence in South Africa,” the post read.The ANC recalled the historic 1995 Rugby World Cup which saw millions of South Africans in unity, rallying behind the Springboks.

“We fondly recall that historic moment in 1995 when President Nelson Mandela Francois Pienaar lifted the trophy following a decisive victory by the Bokke. President Nelson Mandela inspired our diverse nation to see rugby, and sports in general, as a tool for nation-building, the promotion of social cohesion, and shared national pride. One of the things that confound critics and admirers alike about our nation is our incredible capacity to rise up in unity against formidable odds and to unite in triumph and celebration,” the ANC said.

“The ANC calls on all South Africans to rally behind the Springboks…To you the Bokke, our 62-million-strong nation is fully behind you. Go Bokke!” the post concluded.
