DJ ZINHLE ON SEASON THREE OF REALITY SHOW
BET Africa’s hit reality series DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected returns for a third season on Saturday 30 September. DJ Zinhle revealed that this season will be a journey of healing, following the death of her “baby daddy” – slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA.


 

AKA and DJ Zinhle have a eight-year-old daughter named Kairo Forbes together. The rapper was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February.

“I’m truly excited to share this new chapter of my life with all of you through ‘The Unexpected’ Season 3 on BET. This season has been a journey of healing, growth, and new beginnings, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to let you into my world,” she said according to a press release.

“We’ve got some incredible stories to tell, and I hope that my experiences can inspire and connect with all of you out there. Buckle up, it’s going to be an unforgettable ride,” she continued.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SEASON THREE
So, what can you expect from DJ Zinhle and her family this season? According to a press release, there’s a new venture for the DJ and her daughter Kairo is taking centre stage as well as well as the loss of Kairo’s father – slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA.

The DJ grapples with the untimely loss of AKA, providing an intimate look into her process of healing. AKA’s mom Lynn Forbes is also included in this season. In the trailer, she was seen talking about visiting the rapper’s grave.
DJ Zinhle’s recent acquisition of a fun house will be showcased. Viewers will have an inside look into her world of creativity and entrepreneurship. As she works closely with her family and friends, DJ Zinhle will share behind-the-scenes stories of their collaborative efforts and the joys of working together.
One of the focal points of season three is DJ Zinhle’s daughter, Kairo, as she embraces her role as a big sister to Asante. Asante is the DJ Zinhle’s second child, who she welcomed with musician and “husband” Murdah Bongz in 2021

THANDO THABETHE’S ROLE IN MY DAD THE BOUNTY HUNTER
Actress Thando Thabete joined the cast of My Dad the Bounty Hunter on Netflix as Adja. The series was featured on Netflix’s top 10 list in 30 countries.

It is about two children who discover their dad is the galaxy’s toughest and strongest Bounty Hunter. The kids unravel this information after accidentally travelling into space.

According to TimesLIVE, Thando Thabete said the role was adventurous and fun. She said:

“This is my first animation and international role. To say I am excited and grateful would be an understatement. Being a storyteller is my passion, and I am so happy to have unlocked a first for myself. This role was both adventurous and fun, I hope that is the same emotion the audience gets when watching the series”

A couple of days after the series was released on Netflix, the actress took to Instagram and said:

“ICYMI… I star in my first ever animation and international role in the incredible “My Dad The Bounty Hunter” Thank you @patrickharpin @edogdowning, for holding my hand through this new journey … super proud of this one 😍❤️😍”

Natasha on one month of being Miss SA

Model and beauty queen Natasha Joubert was crowned Miss SA with the new Mowana crown dubbed the “tree of life” on 13 August at the SunBet Arena, Times Square in Pretoria. She previously placed in the Miss SA top three in 2020 and represented South Africa at Miss Universe.


 

 

 

 

 

Bryoni Govender became the Miss SA runner up. The Miss Universe page later announced that Bryoni will represent South Africa at the Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador in November. Nande Mabala became the second runner up.

Luyanda Zwane secures roles in ‘Outlaws’ and ‘Miseducation’

Talented actress Luyanda Zwane, who is famously known for her starring role as the title character in Sibongile and The Dlaminis has secured roles in Outlaws and Miseducation.

 

 

 

LUYANDA ZWANE: NEW ROLES
Rising star Luyanda Zwane who portrayed the character of Shaka’s (Lemogang Tsipa) love interest in Shaka iLembe has joined Showmax’s Western series Outlaws and Netflix’s Miseducation.

The breakout star tells Sowetan that she first met her passion for acting in high school and was deeply involved in the world of dramatic arts.

Zwane adds that she got the role of Lelo in Durban Gen shortly after completing matric, which was followed by Redemption and Mzansi Wethu’s telenovela Sibongile and The Dlaminis as a domestic worker, Sibongile.

The KwaZulu-Natal-born actress will debut two new roles in Showmax’s Outlaws and Netflix’s new series Miseducation.

This is after the 21-year-old star debuted on Mzansi Magic’s hit series Shaka Ilembe as Vundlazi on Sunday, 27 August.

Zwane tells Sunday World that the role was life changing for her as she was given an opportunity to work with the biggest productions and names that I grew up learning about in High School.

“It was also educational because I got to learn about my culture, my tribe, and the other tribes discussed,” says Zwane.

She’s also starred as a beautiful teenage girl named Nomonde Gumede in the BET telenovela Redemption.LUYANDA ZWANE: LEADING ROLE IN ‘SIBONGILE AND DLAMINIS ROLE’
The Outlaws and Miseducation actress Luyanda Zwane also scored a leading role in Mzansi Wethu’s first telenovela, Sibongile and The Dlaminis.

The Mzansi Wethu telenovela follows the journey of Sibongile Mbambo (Luyanda Zwane), an innocent rural young woman forced to leave her family and dreams behind to become a domestic worker in the lavish mansion of the affluent Dlamini family.

The show is set in the small town of Ixopo in KwaZulu-Natal and promises to explore timeless themes of love, sacrifice, ambition, and familial bonds.

Shirley Adonisi, who is director of local entertainment channels at M-Net revealed in a statement to TshisaLIVE that the airing of Sibongile and The Dlaminis will mark a significant milestone in their commitment to deliver diverse and compelling local content.”
