Sjava, whose real name is Jabulani Hadebe, said the project is close to his heart as it will give his fans a glimpse into his life as an entertainer.
“My latest solo project is Isibuko and it dropped in January 2023. It’s a very personal project and it was me sharing my experiences and my thoughts on my life and collectively our lives in general,” he said.
He said the project is special to him and the people who have embraced it.
“Earlier this month, Big Zulu and I dropped Ukhamba under our collective name Inkabi Zezwe. This project is also special to me because I believe it is made for and represents the people and communities that have supported both me and Big Zulu,” he said.
Sjava said it is a gift for them. “It also allows us to represent where we come from, not only the place but the culture. It’s a collaboration and I believe in working together,” he said.“I can’t say we worked on the documentary. We just recorded some elements of my normal life and the work we do.”
Sjava said this is something that they’ve been doing and will continue doing so that their story is documented. He said they wanted to share it with people.
“Shout out to Luthando ‘Sgubz’ Sigubudu who directed the doccie and put together the creative vision. People should go and watch it on YouTube. They can expect a short but insightful look into my life,” he said.
The musician said viewers will also get to see his great team and a behind-the-scenes of some of the latest projects they put together.
“Expect more music and more art. That’s what it’s always about,” Sjava said.
