Complicating matters using COVID-19 a tragic end for Shona This year marks what would have been the couple’s 20th wedding anniversary had they not passed away.

Lesego Semenya

Lesego Semenya, well known as Les Da Chef, brought new flavors to Mzansi. The death of the 39-year-old chef occurred one week after he had a positive test for COVID-19.

Lesego stated that his doctors had told him he had “seen the worst” and was on the road to recovery just a few days before he passed away.

Dr Sindisiwe Van Zyl

Sindisiwe van Zyl was a medical professional, radio personality, journalist, health advocate, and researcher. Despite all of her knowledge and skills, she was unable to beat the coronavirus.

The passing of Sindi on April 10, 2021 brought sadness to her loved ones, including her friends and family. Following her many achievements in the medical field, Sindi has left behind some quite large footprints.
