Look How Ramaphosa Celebrates His 70th Birthday

President Cyril Ramaphosa is celebrating his 70th birthday, and his spokesperson Vincent Magwenya shared photos of him enjoying his day with SAAF air crew.

In the photos, the president could be seen surrounded by the air crew posing for the photo with a cake placed in front of him. Several messages are also coming in from ANC members and South African citizens.

“At the stroke of midnight the SAAF air crew of Inkwazi kicked off another round of celebrations.#HappyBirthdayPresident,” presidential spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya said.

Since he is at the G20 summit, Ramaphosa had early birthday wishes from the South African Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia and delegation to G20. International relations minister, Naledi Pandor was among the delegation that sang a happy birthday message to president Cyril Ramaphosa.

President Cyril Ramaphosa’s birthday this year comes at a time that he is facing Phala Phala scandal, which might also jeopardize his chances for a second term in December. There is so much noise about the extension of the deadline for independent panel to release their report on whether or not the ANC leader violated laws.

ATM member, Mzwanele Manyi who is one of those who have been vocal concerning the Phala Phala scandal, said the independent panel must make the report public or risk losing credibility.

“In my book the integrity of these four depends on making the report public on the 30th November 2022. I call on all progressive forces to lose trust and confidence in the four of them if the report is not made public by the 30th November 2022,” said Mzwanele Manyi.

As president Cyril Ramaphosa turns 70, some believe it is time for him to hang his boots and focus on other things.

“Now tell him to go and farm. 70 years is beyond pension. He should go and be grand grandpa to his children’s children.”
