Mvelo Makhanya who plays the role of Lindiwe Ngema on the popular soapie Scandal! On etv has been associated with the role for years.

She plays the role of a young girl who has been going to high school for the bulk of her earlier life as she has recently graduated and enrolled in college according to the storyline.

 

As a result of her role on the show many people mistake Mvelo for a young girl when in actual fact she is a middle aged women and has aged with perfection over the years.

Mvelo is actually 24 years old as she was born on the 24th of April in 1996. She was born in Nkanda, Kwa Zulu Natal and moved to Johannesburg with her parents.

She joined the school of arts in Braamfontein, Johannesburg initially to persue a career in theater performing, however she ended on etv after securing the reoccurring role of Lindiwe.

She was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in 2016 and recently spoke up about cyber bullying from fans who mock her about her head and shared that she takes mental health very seriously.

Mvelo Makhanya is a ball of energy and she is also multi talented as she is also a singer and a performer, one of the trades she got to master while she was still attending art school.
