Lerato Kganyago has had to, yet again, defend herself against negative comments about her failed marriage, this after a Twitter user referenced it in response to Pearl Modiadie’s tweet.
Lerato Kganyago was dragged into a conversation that had nothing to do with her on Thursday, 11 June 2020. This was after Pearl Modiadie tweeted about how her boyfriend had quit smoking due to the cigarette ban. A Twitter user then warned her against keeping her boyfriend’s identity a secret, adding that she might end up like fellow Metro FM personality, Lerato Kganyago.

This was in reference to the discovery that Lerato’s estranged husband is a suspected con artist. The user’s tweet was accompanied by one of the only images of Lerato and Thami Ndlala together. This prompted someone else to say that Lerato deserved what happened to her because she is materialistic.

This led to a response from The Bridge co-host, who referenced the Twitter user’s supposedly dishevelled undergarments. Pearl also came to Lerato’s defence.
