The 15-year-old Limpopo schoolgirl has been arrested after a viral video of her assaulting one Lufuno Mavhungu was shared on social media.

The 15-year-old Limpopo schoolgirl has been arrested after a viral video of her assaulting one Lufuno Mavhungu was shared on social media.

Lufuno was bullied at Mbilwi Secondary School this week and committed suicide that same day.

According to report, she took an overdosed prescription pills.

She was found lying unconscious in her bedroom by her mother, who rushed her to hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.

Well, the abused has been charged with assault and will be charged as a minor, in accordance with the Child Justice Act.

The police have opened an inquest docket to further investigate her death.

“The arrested child will be dealt with in accordance with the Child Justice Act,” said the Police spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo.

In the meanwhile, the education authorities in Limpopo appointed ‘learner support agents’ to provide emotional support to vulnerable pupils.
