Despite their best efforts to keep the facts hidden, the gossip squad arrives at MaMlambo’s residence ready to play detective and overstay their welcome. Madongwe called Mamlambo’s number to see if she had a crying baby ringing tone on her phone. The two will be prompted to report the situation to the police by the mystery babe.

It’s been publicly recorded and spoiled that MaMlambo and Hlelo will wind up in prison. MaMlambo is shocked to learn that her good deed of rescuing an abandoned infant will land her in prison for up to 15 years.

MaMlambo’s subsequent arrest fuelled speculation that she might leave the show right away. The few mentions of her name in the Uzalo November teasers are proof enough that she is on her way out, whether temporarily or permanently.

MaMlambo’s plot needed to be rewritten after her daughter, Zekhethelo Mhlongo, played by Nyalleng Thibedi, left Uzalo to focus on her make-up business and engineering career.

Since MaNgcobo’s departure from Uzalo, Nkunzi has been rumored to be rekindling his love for MaMlambo. The chances of a MaMlambo – Nkunzi reunion are slim, since he is already swayed by Gabisile’s love appeal.

Gugu Gumede is rumored to have dumped Uzalo in order to pursue her mother’s ambitions in politics. Gugu is ready to follow in the footsteps of her mother, the late Inkatha Freedom Party Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi.
