A guy recently caused a stir on Twitter after posting a grade 9 learner’s end of year school report. He was concerned as to why the learner was promoted even though they failed 7 out of 9 subjects they were doing throughout the year. He posted and said “The education standard in South Africa has dropped that’s why some of you are like this, I understand now.” See the post he made on Twitter down below.

 
People commented under his post and had a lot of things to say. Some suggested that they got promoted because of their age while others had other things to say.

Someone commented and said “I think maybe he was a second time repeater. Apparently the law says no child should repeat 3 times in one phase.” Another person commented and said “Probably the teachers were tired of the student.
