Gomora’s Sicelo Buthelezi Shows SK Khoza Some Love He thanks him for all the support

Gomora star Sicelo Buthelezi who plays the ever-so-poplar Teddy has won the hearts of many and his first ever accolade is proof of that. Taking home the award for Outstanding Newcomer award. Since his debut on the soapie, Sicelo has become a huge viewer favourite. Also having viewers singing his praises including Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi.

The actor posted a very heartwarming picture of the two award winners hugging at the Royalty Soapie Award which took place recently. The two both walked away with awards, where SK won an award for Outstanding Supporting Actor award.

“Ngyabonga bafowethu, (which translates to Thank you my brothers)” Sicelo wrote.

During his acceptance speech he had a lot of people to thank, “First of all, I would like to thank the man above, I would like to thank my mum for supporting me. I would like to thank my sister. I would like to thank my little brother. I would like to thank the cast…”

Buthelezi was born and raised in Tembisa and Gomora is his first TV role, but by the look of things he is destined for greater things.Teddy Pendegrass wabantwana has taken the country by storm as he portrays a special needs child called Teddy in Gomora who faces a lot of challenges and ends up living with his principal and wife who is a social worker. The character resonates with a lot of people as viewers are familiar with special needs children and the attention they need to succeed in life. Sicelo’s acting skills have left most viewers of the very popular telenovela gushing over him.

He even had Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi also appreciating his amazing acting as he has nailed his role as Teddy saying he has done the character justice. Teddy’s complicated relationship with his mother Zodwa has also kept viewers glued to their screens.

Sthembiso Khoza recently returned to the cast of The Queen this year after fans requested for the character Shaka Khoza to return.

The actor who has been marred with controversy is searching for the tweep who started the petition that gained momentum, to simply thank him or her. The online petition had a major impact in bringing back Shaka to life, who was ‘killed’ by his brother and cousin, Kagiso and Dingaan.

“Please HELP me find the person who started this petition…I’d like to meet and thank them, can’t pretend like this didn’t mean a lot to ME,” he wrote.
