Former ‘Umkhokha: The Curse’ star joins ‘My Brother’s Keeper’

Talented actor Nkanyiso Mchunu, who portrayed Umkhokha: The Curse’s most-hated character Mlungisi has secured a role in My Brother’s Keeper.Fans of the former Imbewu: The Seed and Umkhokha: The Curse actor Nkanyso Mchunu has landed a role in Rhythm World’s upcoming telenovela My Brother’s Keeper.


 

 

Mchunu will star alongside his former Imbewu co-stars Vuyiseka Cawe and Raphael Griffiths as well as The Estate stars Sparky Xulu and Sdumo Mtshali and many more.

Though it is unclear what character he will play at this stage, fans of the actor are thrilled to know that he’s secured another character after his popular role Mlungisi got killed in Mzansi Magic’s faith-based telenovela Umkhokha: The CurseIOL reports that My Brother’s Keeper focuses on a story about the corrupting nature of greed and tells the tale of a family drawn into a deadly succession battle of its own making.

The upcoming telenovela, which has replaced Gomora will also focus on Nqubeko, played by Uzalo’s Wiseman Mncube, who is a headstrong and overambitious son of a mistress who is tired of being side-lined by his father.

“Nqubeko decides to break the rules of ‘ukungena’ by going after his brother’s widow, Fakazile (played by Zola Nombona), the woman who holds the controlling power to the Shabalala family empire,” reports the publication.

My Brother’s Keeper premiers on Mzansi Magic (Channel 161) from Monday 23 October at 7:30pm.
