On 18 August 1999, the celebrated actress survived a hail of bullets after an assigned hit opened fire at her whilst sitting in her car. The incident happened at her Bramley Park house in Sandton Johannesburg, where an assigned hit fired 41 shots on her car. However, she survived the daring incident.
