The Grammy-nominated artist, renowned for hits like ‘Suge,’ found himself at the centre of controversy. The general public took to social media to express their disbelief over his headline performance, reports IOL. Most Tweeps can’t understand the audacity of having the controversial rapper host such a grand event at the nation’s largest stadium.

The timing couldn’t have been worse, as the initial announcement coincided with Women’s Day. This decision raised eyebrows given DaBaby’s history of controversies involving women.

The 31-year-old rapper’s track record has been a mix of musical success and headline-grabbing controversies. One of the most notorious incidents was during his ‘Up Close N Personal‘ tour in 2020. DaBaby was caught on camera slapping a female fan in Florida as he made his way to the stage for a performance.

His subsequent apology, which appeared half-hearted at best, only added fuel to the fire. He claimed not to have noticed the fan’s gender.
