Congratulations to radio and television personality Lerato Kganyago, who’s just opened her first beauty store. This will be Kganyago’s first franchise with international beauty brand Tammy Taylor. Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela made the exciting announcement through his Twitter account to a warm reception from fans.Post main image

Over the last few years, Lerato Kganyago has been growing from strength to strength. Under her belt, she has the ‘Flutter by LKG’ line which already makes luxury eyelashes and sanitary pads. Not-so-long-ago, the radio personality slammed beauty brand Avon for allegedly copying her ‘Flutter by LKG’ eyelashes.

“Flutter” isn’t a novel word to be honest and one can associate it with lashes these days so there isn’t much there, but they could have been a bit more creative. All of a sudden they have “flutter” eyelashes with black packaging,” she tweeted.
She’s been heavily involved in philanthropic work – donating sanitary pads to charities. She recently hosted the Period Poverty Benefit Concert where Zalebs and other well-known DJ’s, including President Cyril Ramaphosa got together to help put an end to period poverty. The virtual concert took place on the 5th, the dress code was red.

Everyone in attendance promised to donate 100 sanitary pads each to a charity organisation of their choice. Speaking about the concert, LKG said, “Not being able to go to school or earn a living simply because you do not have access to sanitary pads is heartbreaking. This challenge can be so easily resolved. I hope that this event will help play a small but pivotal role in helping us all join together to fight period poverty, and therefore help young girls and women realise their dreams.”
Lerato also boasts a partnership with popular clothing brand Levis. She made the exciting announcement last year. This past Valentine’s Day, the DJ shut down social media after showing off the incredible surprise her husband Thami Ndlela had put together for her. The businessman booked out the entire FNB stadium and booked popular songstress Zonke to come out and perform for the love of her life. This left the Metro FM DJ speechless and in tears
