Collen Mashawana Foundation gives homeless SA woman and her family a new home.

The world would definitely become a better place if we all strive to ensure that our fellow human is consoled with the smallest needs/essentials of life. People are really living in bad condition all over the country but there are still persons and Organizations working hard to alleviate South Africans from poverty.

One of such Organizations is the Collen Mashawana Foundation. The Organization have provided succor for a South African family living in a shack house and this is one of the most beautiful moment anyone could imagine.

In a statement released by the group on Twitter:

“Spending time with Meida this Sunday made me reflect on what Mandela and his generation of leaders would do to uplift the lives of our people. His legacy is inspiration for civil rights movements around the world and is today filtering as part of my heritage and my life journey.

Today’s leaders have also followed suit by prioritising the participation of the previously disadvantaged in the mainstream economy. As a leader in today’s generation, I chose to uplift people like Meida who continue to face the harshest of circumstances.

For me it’s no longer just a contribution. It has become about walking the journey with them and aiming for long term inclusion for all.

As we worked together in laying bricks for Meida’s house, I was most fulfilled by what would be the outcome.

The next time I see her, she will be receiving keys to her new home and owning her first business of supplying water to in her community. I personally look forward to witnessing what will be a new beginning filled with hope for this woman who once had no hope for the future.

The Collen Mashawana Foundation has successfully gone to Ha-Mudimeli to visit Meida Ramuhala and her family for lunch and to also help with the current house construction work.

During our dining with Meida and her family, they pointed out their daily challenges on the lack of supply of water and further explained the complexity of the access to water in their community, the Collen Mashawana Foundation has committed to constructing a water borehole.

Meida Ramuhala’s neighbor explains the complexity of accessing water and how water is a scarce resource in this community”.
