The Springboks trophy parade route revealed

The Springboks received a hero’s welcome in OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 31 October following becoming the 2023 Rugby World Cup Winners and fourth-time winners in the tournament. They are currently touring South Africa and showing off their trophy in a couple of Provinces and cities.

WHERE WILL THE SPRINGBOKS TOUR WITH THE RUGBY WORLD CUP TROPHY?
The beloved Springboks are currently in Gauteng and will be in the Western Cape on Friday, in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday, and lastly, in the Eastern Cape on Sunday. Here is a look at where the Boks will be exactly…


 

 

The rugby champions will kick off their parade at the Union Building in Pretoria at 09:30. At 14:00, they are expected to be around Braamfontein in Johannesburg, on their way to complete their route at the FNB Stadium.WESTERN CAPE
The Springbok Bus will depart from City Hall in Cape Town in Parade on Saturday, 3 November at 12:15. The bus is expected to be seen on Adderley Street, Nelson Mandela Boulevard, and continue its route to Cape Town International Airport.KWAZULU-NATAL
The tour will then start in KwaZulu-Natal at 09:00 at the Garden Court Hotel in Umhlanga before heading towards the Durban City Hall and finally end off at uShaka Marine World at around 13h45, Plane Rugby reported

EASTERN CAPE
And, on Sunday, the Rugby World Cup champions will be in East London at the Garden Court Hotel where they are expected to begin at 10:00 and finish at the same location at 14:00.

Pitso Mosimane taken to hospital

Al Wahda FC coach Pitso Mosimane has suffered an urgent health scare in the United Arab Emirates.

According to reports from the UAE, as referenced by Diski Times, a sudden shortness of breath has sent Pitso Mosimane to the hospital.

It is said that the 59-year-old coach has been admitted to the Abu Dhabi hospital. Additionally, Pitso Mosimane’s assistant Mahier Davids conducted the training sessions since Tuesday.
 

US rapper T.I. makes amapiano song with Kamo Mphela

Many South Africans grew up singing along to T.I.’s hits of yesteryear including Live Your Life with Rihanna and Whatever You Like. So you can imagine their delight when it emerged that the hip-hop legend had decided to try himself out with one of South Africa’s biggest genres, amapiano. The hitmaker has teamed up with Kamo Mphela to release a new single adopting the trademark Mzansi sound.


 

T.I. AND KAMO MPHELA – A MATCH IN PIANO HEAVEN
Amapiano is arguably South Africa’s most successful music export of the last two decades. The genre has gone viral to the point where it’s gaining fans from every country on earth and now some of the biggest artists on the planet too. The latest is T.I. who has just announced a new single with Kamo Mphela.The rapper announced the new single, titled Vacay, on his Instagram where he wrote “We goin’ UP in 4 days!”, alluding to the track’s release date on Friday 3 November 2023. The song features an upbeat amapiano beat and is produced by muso, Champuro Makhenzo, who was renowned for his work with the late Costa Titch and is a frequent collaborator with Mphela.If we needed more evidence of the way that Americans are loving South African culture, this might just be it. T.I. is the latest American celebrity to pay homage to our music and or overall industry with this Kamo Mphela collaboration.

Rasta The Artist honoured the Springboks with his art

Popular painter best known as Rasta The Artist – real name Lebani Sirejenje was in the massive crowd that welcomed the Springboks at the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport on Tuesday, 31 October after the South African national rugby team became the 2023 Rugby World Cup champions.


 

 

 

RASTA THE ARTIST HONOURS THE SPRINGBOKS WITH HIS ART
The Springboks made Rugby World Cup history as the fourth-time winners in the tournament. They took on New Zealand’s team, the All Blacks in the Rugby World Cup final that took place on Saturday, 28 October in Paris, France, and beat them 12-11.

As they arrived in South Africa after flying the South African flag high in Europe, the Springboks received a hero’s welcome by a good number of South Africans seen at OR Tambo in Johannesburg.In the huge crowd was also Rasta The Artist who had waited with a special surprise for the Boks. Rasta welcomed the World Cup champions with paintings of them which have since had some people scratching their in confusion. This comes after the popular painter took to his colourful social media pages and posted the images online.

The Springboks have kicked off their Mzansi tour with the trophy. They rugby team started the tour in Gauteng and will be in Cape Town on Friday; they are set to be in KwaZulu Natal on Saturday, before end off the tour in East London, Eastern Cape on Sunday, Planet Rugby reported.

Migos bandmates pay tribute to Takeoff one year after his death

Wednesday, 1 November 2023 marked one year since Migos member Takeoff was fatally shot outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas.The American rapper was best known as one of the members of the hip-hop and trap music group Migos alongside his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset. At the time of his death the rapper was only 28 years old.

 
Reminiscing about their days together Offset took to Instagram sharing a sweet tribute to his late cousin.

“The times we spent is priceless what we built in this game they never wanted to give us our flowers we influenced the world…I Love you Take you still here with us I just know you are!!!! Migo 4Life!”, Offset shared.

Quavo who was present at the time of Takeoff’s death also penned a heartfelt tribute honouring his nephew and fellow bandmates life.

Quavo sad: “Can’t forget it won’t Forget It NEVER Forget it! I Remember”.In January of this year Quavo released a song titled Without You honouring the deceased rapper.

A dedication to Takeoff, Quavo reminisces and remembers all the times and memories that they shared. He also mentions how he wished he had a time machine so that they could be together again, as he yearns to hold and hug nephew tightly.

“I wish I had a time machine So you can take a ride with me. Wrap my arms around and hold you tight phew. So, you can never say goodbye to me”, the rapper shared.

In July, Quavo posted a video to his YouTube channel titled A Conversation For The Fans. In the video the artist opened up about the loss of Takeoff and how he has been grieving.

“I miss him a lot and I love him. He knows I love him. That’s what we always know. So, when you see me and you see me smiling or something like that, you don’t gotta never think I forgot about him or I’ll forget about him. I think about him all the time. Sometimes I cry myself to sleep. And that’s it. I just know he’s here. If I can’t feel him, I just know he’s around”, Quavo said.
