Gogo Skhotheni says a majority of the celebrities who are Sangomas don’t have a calling. Skhotheni gave an insight into spiritual and traditional healing during a recent sit-down on Mac G’s podcast and Chill.The star says some celebrities were misdiagnosed to be traditional healers; she said a majority of them mistook depression for a calling. The Sangoma said hearing the ancestors speak to you or communicate with you is different from having a calling.

She said most times, people who are traditional healers have been called right from birth. When Mac G asked about how many celebrities have true callings, she replied by saying 30% of the celebrities in the South African entertainment industry are true sangoma, while the 70% are fake.

The Oscar winner concluded her lengthy post with the hashtag: “#Breakup.”Nyong’o went public with her relationship with the sports commentator in December 2022, writing at the time that they “just click.”

Fans began speculating about the “12 Years a Slave” star’s relationship status after they noticed that she quietly deleted pictures of Masekela from her social media. She was also spotted at a concert with Joshua Jackson, who is currently going through a divorce with his estranged wife, Jodie Turner-Smith.
