‘I tried to reach out to Ayanda’: Sifiso Ncwane’s mother wants to see his kids

Fikile Ncwane, the mother of late gospel musician Sifiso Ncwane, says his widow, Ayanda Ncwane, does not want her to see his children – Sunday World reports.

SIFISO NCWANE’S MOTHER ON SEEING HIS KIDS
The Kulungile Baba hitmaker, who passed away in December 2016, shares two sons with Ayanda – Ngcweti and Mawrnza Ncwane.

Fikile told the publication that she has given up trying to get Ayanda to allow her grandchildren to visit them.

“I also haven’t seen my grandchildren [for a long time]. I miss them but I have no access to them. I tried to reach out to Ayanda but it proved to be impossible. I have now given up, God will deal with her, ” Fikile said.

She further told the publication that she and her daughter-in-law have been at loggerheads for years and nothing changed after her son’s death. She said the situation became worse when Ayanda – who was on the first season of Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) – filed a protection order against her.

FIKILE’S FEUD WITH AYANDA NCWANE
In 2015, when Sifiso was still alive, Fikile accused her son of not taking care of her financially, saying she is living in poverty.

This came after the singer surpised his ‘spritual father’ with a Mercedes Benz GL 63 AMG which set him back an apparent R1.9 million.

However, her claims were denied by Sifiso who accused the media of twisting his mother’s words during an interview with Vuma FM, saying he built her a house, furnished it and has been taking care of her.

At Sifiso’s funeral on 10 December 2016, his sister and other relatives walked out of Moses Mabhida Stadium, citing not being allocated proper seating and having to sit in the rain with everyone else.

A few months later, The Citizen reported that the musician’s mother slammed Ayanda, accusing her of telling doctors not to show her the postmortem report.

In response, Ayanda rubbished the claim, saying: “If family members want to know something they know what to do. I will not disrespect my husband and publish his post-mortem report.”

She further said that after Sfiso’s death she immediately sent a car to fetch his mother so that they could “do everything together”.

Zahara has joined the world of amapiano

Eastern Cape-born singer Zahara does not want to be boxed, as she is now dabbling in the internationally acclaimed music genre, amapiano.
Zahara has joined the world of amapiano
This comes after the musician released her new yanos song on Friday, 3 November, titled Guqa Ngedolo.Speaking to SowetanLIVE, Zahara admitted that she was sceptical about the idea at first but after hearing what her voice sounded like on her new song, she was sold. Her new song was produced by the legendary Mojalefa Thebe, popularly known as Mjakes

“This was all Bhut’Mjakes’ idea. He’s the one who came to me and requested I try amapiano, and because I’ve known him for so long, most of my career really, I thought to myself: ‘why not?’

“Seeing that I write songs about my life, my experiences, how I’m feeling about everything that happens around me, it doesn’t really matter which beat or genre my lyrics or vocals are on. My whole being is to inspire people through my music and the genre doesn’t really need to factor,” the award-winning musician said.According to Zahara, the only way she will grow a an artist is if she is innovative.

“When you’re a musician, you’ll forever be boxed in a category or offering. But what people don’t realise is that as musicians, we need to be innovative, to elevate ourselves and evolve with the times and that’s what I’m doing.

“I want to become a better musician hence I’m dipping my toes in something new.”‘unkempt’ look

REALITY TV SHOW
Earlier this year, Zahara also let her fans into her personal space with her reality TV show titled Zahara: As I Rise on SABC 1.

The songtress said at the time that the aim was to control the narrative and give a glimpse into her love life.

“People think they know me, but they don’t really know me. I want to show people my spiritual side, my family, my close friend, and who I am dating.

“I know people love Zahara and I want even the mama in the village who I have healed through my music to see how I live and how I think. It will be unscripted and show who I truly am. I am all about inspiring people and healing.”
