#RIP GrantShakoane Former Metro FM legend has died


Former Metro FM veteran, Grant Shakoane has been announced dead in the early hours off today.His death was confirmed by his fellow radio veteran and close friend Wilson B Nkosi.

Although the cause of his death is yet to be known but radio personality and close friend Tim Modise took to Twitter last week to reveal Shakoane was “in a serious condition” at a Johannesburg hospital for an unknown condition.

“Our friend & big brother, the radio ‘gentle giant’ Grant Shakoane is in a serious condition at one of the hospitals in Joburg. His wife informs me that he’s been in this battle for a while. Join me in praying for his recovery. We love you,” Modise wrote at the time.

Modise returned to Twitter in the early hours of Thursday morning to pay heartfelt tribute to his friend, and offer his condolences to the Shakoane family.

“Like many of us and his friends, I’m saddened by the news. I extend my sympathies to Ausi Albertina and family. I wish you strength. Modimo a le fodise,” Tim wrote.

The news of his death shock so many as his fans took to comment section to pay tribute to him.

Sports broadcaster Robert Marawa described Shakoane’s death as “a deeply sad and emotional time for one who was so deeply loved and appreciated by many”.

Kwesta wows fan with a video revealing his ‘real’ voice.

The rapper’s voice is a very unique one in the South African music industry, as it’s thick and anyone can easily identify his voice even when sleeping.

In the video, the father of two was seen discussing with some other men, as it seem they were shooting a video; then a guy walked to him and asked him to reveal his real voice.

It’s quite surprising that Kwesta’s voice was perceived differently, as it sounded more soft.

Rolene Strauss has taken to her social media to pen down beautiful message to herself as she turns 29 today.

Taking to Instagram, the star shared how grateful she is to witness this day.

Rolene is also grateful for everything she has learned from the incredible mentors in her life including her husband.

“Today I am grateful for everything I’ve learned from the incredible mentors in my life! Including my amazing husband.”

However, she is just not celebrating her birthday just like that as she revealed she will be running a lucky draw for a 1 year mentorship journey with her.
