Skeem Saam loses nearly 2 million viewers. Fans are not happy with the storylines.

BRCSA November 2023 figures reveal that the educational soapie, Skeem Saam, which scored 5 million viewers in July is currently sitting on 3.7 million.

Soapie fans congratulated Skeem Saam for hitting the 5 million mark in July and praised actor Hungani, who joined the show at the time to portray the second Tbose Maputla.

 
TVSA reported that Skeem Saam trailed behind Uzalo which scored 5.3 million viewers on the channel, followed by Generations with 4.1 million viewers.

Recalling the heart-wrenching moments leading up to the tragedy, Bontle revealed that she was the last person to see her father alive. In the early hours of the morning, she noticed unusual items with him, including a rope, prompting her to question his actions. Despite his reassurances of love, Bontle now reflects on that moment, wondering if she could have intervened.“I think I’d seen him on his way to do it. I woke up to go and see what my father was doing, and he had stuff with him. He had a rope; he had stuff. It was in the wee hours of the morning, and I didn’t think anything of it,” she shared.

Additionally, Bontle revealed that she had dreamt about her father’s passing before it occurred, a premonition she had shared with her mother. This haunting dream added to her sense of guilt, as she believed she could have somehow altered the course of events.For a very long time, I blamed myself for my dad’s death, I really did… I felt if I hadn’t dreamt about it…he wouldn’t have done it,” she expressed during the interview.

Nota defends DJ Sbu on Zahara trolls ’: ‘You can’t protect someone from themselves

Famous hip-hop star Nota defended DJ Sbu against Zahara trolls, saying he did his best.

Indeed, many fans believed that Nota was not being realistic as they aired out their concerns.

She was having liver problems’: DJ Sbu on Zahara’s struggles

DJ Sbu also revealed that Zahara was having liver problems and drinking alcohol and rubbished reports that he took the late musician’s money.“She was going through the most, nobody was there for her. She was in hospital; she was having liver problems, and the doctors were saying drinking alcohol.”


 

Sowetan reported in 2019 that the late multi-award-winning Afro-pop musician claimed she is owed millions of rands by her former record label, TS Records.

The singer made the allegations against TS Records executives TK Nciza and Sbu Leope, claimed that she was underpaid for her performances.

Kaya 959 previously reported that Sbu opened up about how “keeping up with appearances” cost him severely, in an interview on The Penuel Show.

“I’ve lived that lifestyle, rolling in Porsches, travelling. I’ve driven all these luxury sports cars, and had that life, throwing parties, going out, and dropping money. You know the celebrity life. Back then I was proud about it, but now looking back I realise that I was dumb. When it comes to finances, I’ve fallen and I’ve got myself to blame, no one else.”

Leope also opened up about the poor financial decisions that caused him to overspend in order to live the “celebrity lifestyle” when he was younger.

Speaking about his long list of accolades — which include TV and radio presenting, co-owning record label TS Records, and starting his online radio station called Massiv Metro — DJ Sbu admitted that he made “dumb” financial choices when the money started rolling in and he blames no one else but himself.
